Participants and delegates from the different Christian churches in Pangasinan will celebrate together and in solidarity the National Bible Week 2011 with the introductory celebration dubbed “i-Proclaim” to be held at the Atrium of the CSI City Mall, Dagupan City on January 23 from 11:00 AM to 4:00 PM. The Biblical Apostolate of the Archdiocese of Lingayen-Dagupan is spearheading the celebration. National Bible Week is celebrated on 23-30 January 2011. The following will take part in the continuous reading of the Gospel of John: The Roman Catholic Church, Iglesia Filipina Indendiente (IFI), United Church of Christ of the Philippines (UCCP), United Methodist Church (UMC), The Business Sector will read one chapter. A Philippine Daily Inquirer Read-Along storytelling program for children will be held on January 12, 2011, 9 am at the Dagupan City Museum.  East Timor interim first lady Prof. Jacqueline Aquino Siapno and City Councilor Brian Lim will be reading Pangasinan short stories to elementary students aged 9-10 years old. The Read-Along session in Dagupan City is spearheaded by Gabriel Cardinoza of PDI North Luzon in cooperation  with  Ulupan na Pansiansiya'y Salitan Pangasinan  (UPSP). 

The 2nd Jimmy Fernandez Cup Basketball Championship is slated to start on January 7, 2011 at the Dagupan City People’s Astrodome.
