EastWest Bank Dagupan Branch bested all branches of EastWest Bank nationwide by winning the 2010 Branch of the Year Award  First Place .  The recognition for the Dagupan Branch was awarded at Sofitel Philippine Plaza Hotel, Roxas Blvd., Manila City on February 19, 2011.  Antonio O. Several establishments and companies from Dagupan City were awarded recently with the Silver Bagwis Seal by the  National Consumer Affairs Council , the highest policy making body for consumer protection. The Bagwis Seal is a seal for consumer excellence. The establishments were: Siapno Tada Optical (main with its 7 branches), Bitstop Inc , (sales and service ) and the sales and repair shops of Toyota Dagupan, Nissan, Chevrolet and Hyundai Pangasinan.

The study, which was launched Monday in Pasay City, used six criteria in ranking the 29 cities: dynamism of local economy, responsiveness of the LGUs to business, infrastructure, quality of life, and cost of doing business and human resource and training.
