Danziklaban 2011 A Success!

Over 500 dancers comprising a record 38 dance groups from all over Pangasinan battled last February 26, 2011 at the Dagupan City People’s Astrodome for the championship title of Danziklaban 2011 . Danziklaban 2011 , an annual event lead by Maharlika L. Mirasol II of Harlijk Productions, is known as the biggest and most prestigious dance competition in the Province of Pangasinan. An estimated 4000 people watched the competition live for about five hours of non-stop dance showcase from the province’s home grown talents. Adding to the excitement of the event are the Manila-based guest performers Philippine Islands Assassins. This multi-award winning break dance crew is best known for winning 1st runner up in ABS-CBN’s Showtime Season One and is seen regularly on ASAP Rocks and Showtime. La Sallete Student 2nd placer in National Science Quest Competition

Ryn Keefe Bautista,  a Grade 4 student of Escuela de Nuestra Señora de La Salette (La Sallete School) won 2nd place in the NATIONAL SCIENCE QUEST COMPETITION held today February 3, 2011 in Sta. Cruz, Laguna. The contest was tight as Baustista trailed the eventual champion by only one point! Ryn Keefe is the  son of Mr. and Mrs. Larry M. Bautista.  Ryn Keefe  Bautista is a resident of Dagupan City. His coach is Ms. Barvie Zumel. Escuela de Nuestra Señora de La Salette is a private educational institution and  a  De La Salle Supervised School  located in Tapuac District, Dagupan City, Philippines. Congratulations!

UPang High School Senior wins Voice of our Youth Cluster Contest

Vidal, a 4th year High School student from the University of Pangasinan emerged as the champion of the Voice of the Youth Impromptu Speaking  Cluster  Competition. He bested 8 participants from different schools as he expounded on the topic: "The Proposed K-12 Curriculum." All participants were in a closed room before the contest and were given only 15 minutes each to prepare for the topic before delivering their impromptu speech.  Kim received a certificate, P3,000 cash prize and will represent the Cluster 2B in the District Eliminations in Baguio City on November 27, 2010. His coach was  Ms. Princess Maramba and was sponsored by the Rotary Club of Dagupan. Kim could vie for the Voice of our Youth...
